Reeperbahn Festival ARTS
Since the first year running, alongside the exciting bands the Reeperbahn Festival has also been host to an ambitious arts programme. Around the incontestable core that is the Flatstock Europe 5 Poster-Convention, by now there are over ten events in the areas of creative arts and film. The cooperation with the Hamburger Comicfestival is one of the biggest additions this year. Have fun discovering what’s on offer!
Flatstock Europe 5
For the fifth time Flatstock artists are travelling via Chicago, Seattle, Austin and Toronto to Hamburg's Reeperbahn. Since 2002, the music poster convention Flatstock has established itself as the largest convention of its kind in North America. Since 2006, it has been held parallel to the Reeperbahn Festival, supported by the
American Poster Institute
and Feinkunst Krüger.
Comicfestival Hamburg No.4
It’s round four for Comicfestival Hamburg, and its first-time cooperation with the Reeperbahn Festival means Comicfestival Hamburg can showcase even more comics, even more publishers, and even more artists — and will have more space to do so.
The focus of the event will be the sales fair, where on Friday and Saturday visitors can stroll the publisher and vendor stands, discuss, debate, and shop. In addition, exhibitions of work by national and international comics artists, comic-drawing via video projector, etc., are among the events planned.

A Wall is a Screen: St. Pauli
“As punk rock as film exhibition gets” – Simon Ellis, filmmaker / UK
For seven years members of the Hamburg artists’ group A Wall is a Screen have been using building facades as cinema screens, streets as theatre seats, and this year — A Wall is a Screen’s second time at the Reeperbahn Festival (the first time was in 2006) — St. Pauli as cinema.
A “short-film tour” with A Wall is a Screen is not just an evening of short films, nor is it just a guided city tour: it’s a combination of both, with setting playing a major role. And the result is astounding: films and screening more...

Exhibition EGOAUTOMAT – express your inner NERD!
Makrele Bar is reeling in the artists for the Reeperbahn Festival 2010!—with the art exhibition EGOAUTOMAT.
We’re calling on all musician-artists to get busy creating—the exhibition theme is “Caught in the EGOAUTOMAT – Express Your Inner Nerd!” Meaning: whether drawn in front of the mirror or from the imagination, whether mythical creature or representation, whether music set to pictures or your inner demons—the result should be some sort of self-portrait of participating artists.
Musicians can paint, draw, write lyrics, pen poems, paste together collages. It also doesn’t matter whether more...
St. Pauli Music Tour
Finally, the Reeperbahn Festival 2010 invites again. But what is this all about?
– Angies Nightclub, Tivoli, Meanie Bar, Molotow, Moondoo, Hasenschaukel, Haspa Stage, D-Club, Imperial Theatre, Knust and a lot more.
What are their stories, their backgrounds?
Why has just St. Pauli evolved into the German music metropolis?
The St. Pauli Tourist Office wants to answer all these questions for you. Since all tour guides are St. Paulians themselves, they can tell you more than just musical facts, but personal stories about their beloved notorious district.

Beatles-Tour
The tour follows the trail of the Beatles through St. Pauli. We get to find out where the Beatles played, where they lived and lunched, and where famous pictures were taken. Surrounded by seamen, barmaids, female mud-wrestlers, rockers, and "Exis", the Beatles "grew up" in Hamburg, as John Lennon put it.
The tour provides insights into the rock'n'roll-life of the Beatles in Hamburg through scores of pictures, quotes from band-members and contemporaries, funny anecdotes and the early Beatles songs, of course, that will be played live on the streets.
