REEPERBAHN FESTIVAL ARTS 2011
Since the first year running, alongside the exciting bands the Reeperbahn Festival has also been host to an ambitious arts programme. Around the incontestable core that is the Flatstock Europe Poster Convention, this year there had many events in the areas of creative arts and film, for instance the edgy exhibitions programmed by the Hamburg Comicfestival.
Flatstock
International Flatstock artists will showcase the very finest silkscreen art, rock art posters and off-beat concert posters as well.
Comic
Comicfestival Hamburg sends its visitors on a voyage of discovery into the production worlds of illustrators from around the globe.
Film
You can see short films in a classic cinema atmosphere, an open-air film on the streets of St. Pauli and common full-length movies.
Exhibition
Exhibitions make it possible to devour all these various genres of music, photography, design, and the graphic arts in one gulp.
Literature
Poetry slammers, bouncers, barkeepers as well as a club owner and a former music manager are speaking up and having their say.
Street Art
Funny and thought-provoking, creative and inspiring—but most of all illegal. Street art is still treated like “wild posting”.
Tour
On the trail of the Fab Four, Stefanie Hempel, musician and an expert in everything Beatles, is guiding fans through St. Pauli.
